This composition was performed by the Pophorn Big Band in Helsinki, Finland, 2004 (European Jazz Union tour). The marvelous players that you will hear are lead by Vellu Halkosalmi, a great composer and arranger from Finland, and one of the participants in the Arrangers Workshop 2003 with the Metropole Orchestra in the Netherlands.

I had a great time writing for and conducting the Big Band of the Amsterdam Conservatory (part of my actual Bachelor's exam in Jazz Composition and Arranging). I was lucky to have the help of the great bass trombone player and teacher Erik van Lier, who unselfishly gave me the opportunity to work with these great players. Thank you guys!

“Closely” is a composition written for the Project Band ensemble established in Macedonia, together with my dear friend composer and pianist, Aleksandar Pejovski and cellist Dragan Gonevski. It is an ensemble playing a mixture of modern jazz and classical music.
